Don Bosco Boys Camp Morning Prayers

”Any boy in trouble is my friend”

Don Bosco Pray for us

Breastplate of St. Patrick

Breastplate

I arise today
through strength of heaven,
light of the sun,
radiance of the moon,
splendor of fire,
speed of lightning,
swiftness of the wind,
depth of the sea,
stability of the earth,
firmness of the rock.
I arise today through God’s strength to pilot me,
God’s might to uphold me,
God’s wisdom to guide me,
God’s eye to look before me,
God’s ear to hear me,
God’s word to speak for me,
God’s hand to guard me,
God’s way to lie before me,
God’s shield to protect me,
God’s host to save me from the snares of the devil,
from everyone who desires me ill,
afar and near,
alone or in multitude.
Christ with me,
Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me,
Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ on my right,
Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down,
Christ when I sit down,
Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in the eye that sees me,
Christ in the ear that hears me.
Amen.

O good Jesus,
In thy wounds I feign would hide,
Guard me should the foe assail me.

listen to me.
Ne'er to be parted from thy side.
Call me when my life shall fail me.

All: Bid me to come to the above, with thy saints to sing thy love, world without end. Amen.

Prayer of St. Francis

All: Make me an instrument of thy peace...

(Leader) (Followers)
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;

All: O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host - by the Divine Power of God – cast into hell satan, and all the evil spirits, who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
